Huawei Nova 4 Launched in China with Punch-Hole Display and Triple Rear Cameras: Specs, Price & Availability

Today, Huawei has launched its latest smartphone called Huawei Nova 4 in China. Like the Samsung Galaxy A8s and Honor View 20, the new Huawei Nova 4 also features an in-display selfie camera. The all-new Huawei Nova 4 smartphone comes with a display hole for the front camera, Android Pie OS, Kirin 970 SoC, triple rear-facing cameras and much more.

The Nova 4 is priced at 3,399 Yuan (around $490 or Rs 35,000) for the 48MP rear camera model. The cheaper version with a 20MP rear camera will cost 3,099 Yuan ($450 or Rs 32,000). The phone will go on sale from 27th December 2018. The device will be available in four different colors – Black, Blue, Red, and White.

The Huawei Nova 4 features a 6.3 inches FHD+ display with a 19.25:9 aspect ratio, and an 86.3% screen-to-body ratio. The screen of the phone also has a 4.5mm hole for the 25MP selfie camera.

In terms of performance, the device is powered by the Kirin 970 processor with GPU Turbo 2.0 technology. It comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage.

For photography, the Nova 4 features a triple rear-facing camera setup which consists of a 48MP/20MP main camera, a 16MP sensor with an ultra wide angle lens and a 2MP depth sensor. This camera setup comes with LED flash, 4K video support, AI beauty, 3D Qmoji, PDAF, EIS, HDR, etc. On the front, it packs a 25MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture and EIS.

The Huawei Nova 4 runs on the Android 9.0 Oreo operating system. It comes with a 3750 mAh battery with fast charging support. The handset also has a fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock.

For network & connectivity, the device has Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C (v2.0) port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The sensors available on this device are:- a fingerprint sensor, gravity sensor, ambient light sensor, proximity light sensor, gyroscope, and compass. Sadly, there’s no NFC on the Nova 4.

Huawei Nova 4 Price

The Nova 4 comes in two different models: the first one with a 48MP rear camera sensor and the other one with a 20MP rear camera sensor. Apart from the rear camera, other features of both the versions are exactly the same.

1. 3,399 Yuan (48MP+16MP+2MP rear cameras)
2. 3,099 Yuan (20MP+16MP+2MP rear cameras)

As of now, the phone is only available in China. But it is expected that the company will also bring Nova 4 to other Asian and European countries.
