Honor has launched a new mid-range smartphone in India named “Honor Play“. The new Honor Play smartphone comes with GPU Turbo Technology, dual rear-facing cameras and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio display. The GPU Turbo tech increases the performance by 60% and reduces the battery consumption by 30%.
The phone will be available on Amazon exclusively. The 4GB RAM model is priced at Rs 19,999 and the 6GB RAM variant cost Rs 23,999.
Honor Play Specs and Features
The Honor Play features a 6.3-inch Full HD+ (1080 × 2340 pixels) display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display also has a notch on the top. The device is powered by the Huawei’s Kirin 970 octa-core SoC. It comes with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD card up to 256GB).
The phone has 16MP + 2MP dual rear-facing cameras with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. On the front, there’s a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture. It has 3D facial recognition and AI-based Face Unlock.
Honor Play runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo and packs a 3750 mAh battery. The handset has 4G VoLTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v 4.2, USB Type-C port, GPS/ A-GPS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The fingerprint sensor is placed at the back.
Recently, Honor also launched the Honor 7A and Honor 7C smartphones in India.
