Apple iPad Pro Launched with FaceID: Specs, Features, Price & More

Apple iPad Pro (2018) Launched! Here are the specifications and price details of the latest iPad Pro.

Apple has just announced the new iPad Pro tablets at the event in New York. The new iPad Pro tablets come in two different sizes – 11-inch and 12.9-inch. These new tablets come with Liquid Retina displays, A12X Bionic chip, Face ID, USB-C port, and much more.

The 11-inch iPad Pro has a Liquid Retina display with 2388×1668 pixels resolution and 264 pixels per inch (ppi). The bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro has a Liquid Retina display with 2732×2048 pixels resolution and 264 pixels per inch (ppi). These new iPad Pro models are powered by the A12X Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. They come with 64GB/256GB/512GB/1TB of internal storage.

The new iPad Pro features a 12MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, Digital zoom up to 5x, Five-element lens, Smart HDR, Quad-LED True Tone flash, and more. This camera can also shoot 4K video recording at 30 fps or 60 fps. On the front, it has a 7MP selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture, Portrait mode, Portrait Lighting, and Retina Flash.

This time Apple has removed the fingerprint sensor. Now, these tablets come with Face ID for facial recognition to Unlock. Also, there’s no 3.5 mm headphone jack on this new device.

Apple iPad Pro runs on the iOS 12. The company has also introduced a new second-generation Apple Pencil which magnetically attaches to iPad Pro and wirelessly charges at the same time.

The 11-inch iPad Pro has a built-in 29.37-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro comes with a 36.71-watt-hour rechargeable lithium-polymer battery. For charging, there’s a USB-C port.

Apple iPad Pro Price

US:

• $799 (11 inches)
• $999 (12.9 inches)

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch Apple iPad Pro will be available in two different colors – Silver and Space Gray. The tablets will be available on Apple.com and Apple Stores from 7th November 2018.

The starting price of 11-inch iPad Pro is $799 in the US. And the 12.9-inch model starts at $999. The second generation Apple Pencil will be available for $129.

India:

• Rs 71,900 (11 inches, Wi-Fi Only model)
• Rs 85,900 (11 inches, Wi-Fi + Cellular model)
• Rs 89,900 (12.9 inches, Wi-Fi only)
• Rs 1,03,900 (12.9 inches, Wi-Fi + Cellular variant)

In India, the 11-inch iPad Pro price starts at Rs 71,900 for the Wi-Fi Only variant. The Wi-Fi + Cellular variant of this tablet starts at Rs 85,900.

The bigger 12.9-inch iPad Pro starts at Rs 89,900 (Wi-Fi only). Its Wi-Fi + 4G LTE model starts at Rs 1,03,900. The tablets will be available in India from 7th November 2018.
